ScoutPro OLED Shipment Update
Hello ScoutPro Backers. Many of you have understandably been asking when your ScoutPro will ship and tracking will be sent to you.
The current status is that your ScoutPro has been produced and was transferred to our shipper in February. We were told then that the shipment had commenced and to expect delivery to our warehouse in 4 to 6 weeks.
This shipment did not take up a full container, so it was bundled with other goods that were also shipping to the USA. This is a very common practice, known as an LCL shipment (Less than Container Load).
Around March 20th, our shipping broker (Maggie is her name) informed us that the shipment had not actually left and was held up in customs. She shared that it was expected to clear and be moving imminently.
We’ve been in constant contact with Maggie and on the 31st she informed us there were some customs issues with other goods in our container (not ScoutPro). It was expected to be cleared up within a week. Below are some screen shots of messages from Maggie.
So this leaves us waiting for the shipment to be released so it can make its transit and we can ship to you.
While developing ScoutPro, we were able secure retail placement from a large international retailer. To support this, we produced an additional quantity of ScoutPro. So the good news is we have additional inventory that will be available within the next two weeks. As our backers take priority on any and all shipments, our plan is to take this inventory repurpose it for you. Our plan is to ship with a different carrier to our warehouse and ship out whichever arrives first. We will also be transferring 200 units to our fulfillment center in Asia for immediate shipment to our first backers, as we have this available now.
In our last update we shared that shipments to SE Asia were complete (note this did not include South Korea or Japan, as those countries were not available as shipping options with our fulfillment warehouse). If you did not receive tracking, please let us know at [email protected].
